Dr. Edward Rodgers named Westwood Trail Academy Principal
On March 16, the Francis Howell School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Dr. Eddie Rodgers as the new principal at Westwood Trail Academy, effective July 1, 2023.
Dr. Rodgers began his career at Francis Howell School District in 2013. For five years, he served as a Special Education Teacher and Assistant Wrestling Coach at Francis Howell Central High School. He has spent the last five years serving the District as the Special Education Program Coordinator.
“It is an honor to join the incredible team of students and staff at Westwood Trail Academy,” said Dr. Rodgers. “I am excited to continue building upon the prominent practices and strong culture that have been established.”
Rodgers said his goal is to continue the remarkable work at Westwood Trail Academy by prioritizing and investing in the school's mission to build relationships and promote growth. He says he looks forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to learn how he can serve, support and enrich the educational experience for our students.

Dr. Rodgers holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Central Missouri, a master’s degree in School Administration from Lindenwood University, and in 2022, he earned a doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.
