Welcome to Westwood
Dr. Anthony Haan
The educational philosophy of Westwood is to provide education, counseling, behavioral and family support to the children who have been designated by the Francis Howell School District to have educational needs beyond what the district can offer them at their home school.
Custom Class: panel-bg
Small class sizes, personalized instruction, and attention to detail, is what drew us to Westwood Trail Academy. The administrator and staff are approachable and passionate about going above and beyond to ensure each child is seen, heard, cared for and supported. They focused on improving our son’s areas of need while also bolstering his individual strengths. He is now more confident in his abilities and successfully advocates for himself. Not only did they help him to unlock the barriers he had to traditional learning, but they also taught him the value of hard work and perseverance. Westwood Trail Academy partners with parents and students to ensure success.
We are forever grateful that their approach to developing the “whole child” with academics, social and emotional learning, relationship building, and post-secondary support helped get our son back on track for graduation. His success is their success.
If you’re looking for a place that works hard to understand you & make you feel accepted; this is it. Westwood Trails Academy is more than a school; it’s a community where learning & personal growth are connected.
